The three signs your website is describing an old version of your business.
Most websites are accurate snapshots of a company twelve months ago. Here is how to tell, and what to do about it.
The first sign is the headline. If it describes what you do rather than what a customer gets, it has slipped behind.
The second sign is the services page. Read it as a stranger. Does it describe the work you want more of, or the work you used to take?
The third sign is the photos and prices. They are always the last to be updated and the first thing people compare.
You may not need a redesign. You might need a re-edit. Treat the site as something you keep current, not something you launch once.
“If you have changed and the site has not, you are quietly contradicting yourself in public.”
